The museum has reopened on Saturdays – pre-booking tickets is essential
First of all, thank you to everyone who has sent us messages of support, donated, bought items from our online shop, read the articles on our website, and commented, liked, and shared our posts on social media over these months of enforced closure.
We are thrilled to announce that the museum has now reopened to visitors!
We will be reopening gradually, starting with 11am – 4pm on Saturdays only for the rest of the year.
We plan to extend the hours and days that we are open over the coming months and will update our website when we do.
We have introduced timed entry tickets, at 30-minute intervals, to limit the number of people in the building and ensure everyone has enough space to have a safe and enjoyable visit.
Everyone, including those eligible for free admission, must book in advance online or over the phone.
Please arrive as close to the time of your pre-booked entry slot as possible to be guaranteed entry. If you have booked for the 3pm slot, please note that last entry will be at 3.15pm.
We will not be selling any tickets on the door. You must have a pre-booked ticket in order to visit.
If you are unable to make a booking online, please give us a call and we will process your booking over the phone.
Entrance & exit
Whilst social distancing measures are in place, we will be operating a separate entrance and exit to the museum.
The ENTRANCE is at the back of the house in Lancashire Court.
The EXIT is at the front of the house at 25 Brook Street.
If you are struggling to find the entrance, give us a call or pop your head in at 25 Brook Street where a member of staff will be able to direct you round to the back (please note that this is a narrow corridor and you may have to wait for other visitors to vacate before you can get to the reception desk).
In order to keep visitors and each other safe, all members of our team will be wearing face coverings. To protect yourselves, our staff and your fellow visitors, visitors must also wear a face covering.
Hand sanitiser will be available from the entrance and several locations across the house.
The nearest tube stations are Bond Street (Jubilee and Central Lines), Oxford Circus (Victoria, Central and Bakerloo Lines) and Green Park (Victoria, Piccadilly and Jubilee Lines). We are served by many bus routes which stop on Oxford Street, which is a 5-minute walk away. If you would like to avoid using the underground, you can cycle here and there several places to park your bike near our entrance (although, please note there is nowhere to leave your bike within the museum itself).
Alternatively, you can walk from the following National Rail stations:

- Marylebone (25 mins)
- Victoria (30 mins)
