Eleanor Broomfield (soprano)

Eleanor Broomfield has just graduated from the Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of Lillian Watson and Jonathan Papp.
Operatic highlights include singing ‘Bridesmaid’ Der Freischütz (Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment/Sir Mark Elder), ‘Amor’ (cover) Orfeo ed Euridice (Longborough Opera House Young Artist Programme), ‘First Witch’ Dido and Aeneas (The Grange) and ‘Belinda’ as part of the Chipping Campden Music festival. In the Royal Academy of Music opera scenes, Eleanor has played the roles of Tiny, Lisette, Nanetta and Gretel.
Oratorio highlights include Haydn Heiligmesse (City of London Choir/Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) at Cadogan Hall, Haydn Kleineorgel Messe in St John’s Chapel (Cambridge Philharmonic Society), Christmas Oratorio in Oxford Town Hall (Orchestra of Stowe Opera), St John Passion (English Symphony Orchestra) and Handel’s Messiah (Orchestra of the Swan). Eleanor has also worked as a soloist with Philippe Herreweghe and Jane Glover as part of the Academy/Kohn Bach Cantata Series.
Recital highlights include recitals at Buckingham Palace, Oxford Lieder Festival and the Italian Cultural Institute, as well as understudying for the Academy’s Wigmore Hall song concert.
