The Bergamo Manuscript

Tuesday 19 February, 6.30-7.30pm

The Bergamo Manuscript, written in the hand of Handel’s early copyist William Babell, has recently been discovered. Come and hear selected pieces from the manuscript, which may have been adapted from Handel’s own works.

Handel’s 335th Birthday

Saturday 23 February, 11am-6pm

Join us for a celebration of Handel’s birthday. We’ll have live Baroque music performances in Handel’s Music Room throughout the day from a variety of soloists and ensembles playing a selection of Handel’s greatest pieces.

Handel & Elisabetta

Tuesday 26 February, 6.30-7.30pm

Music by a talented but little-known 18th century, female composer performed by an ensemble led by soprano Gabriella di Laccio, number 24 on the BBC’s list of 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2018.

Thursday 28 February, 10am-1pm

Drop in for this Baroque flute masterclass with two of our Handel House Talent musicians.

Leading international tenor Mark Padmore heads a team of the talented young including students from the Junior Guildhall School of Music & Drama and St. Anne’s School Gospel Choir for what will be an exciting and unique performance. Julian Perkins directs Sounds Baroque in a programme of works by Handel, Corelli, Bach and gospel music.
