We have a February packed full of events – a whole day of music for Handel’s birthday, a Hendrix-inspired Valentine’s Night party, and a concert of music played at 18th-century pubs, among other things.

Handel’s Heroines

Thursday 6 February, 1-2pm

This Thursday afternoon, soprano Anna Cavaliero will explore the strength and richness of Handel’s female characters. Featuring music from Handel’s operas Giulio Cesare and Partenope among others.

Learn to Play Like Hendrix! – Beginner Workshops

Saturday 8 February, 11am-12pm

There is still time to join our series of Guitar Workshops for absolute beginners. The course will start with the most basic things and take you from never holding a guitar to playing some chords and melody. After the sessions you’ll be playing a full song and be on the right path for getting the most out of a guitar.

Little Italy

Thursday 13 February, 1-2pm

Cellist Lucia Capellaro (Dunedin Consort, Concerto Copenhagen, English Touring Opera, Ex Cathedra, La Serinissima and the Hanover Band) explores how flamboyant Italian virtuosos of the violoncello shook the musical scene of 18th-century Britain.

Hendrix Flat Friday Late

Friday 14 February, 7-10pm

We still have a limited number of tickets left for our next Friday Late! Don’t miss this rare chance to experience live music, DJs, drinks, film projections and exclusive access to parts of the house usually closed to the public.

Masterclass with David Bates

Wednesday 19 February, 2-4pm

Internationally-acclaimed Conductor and Artistic Director of La Nuova Musica, David Bates hosts this masterclass.

Hendrix Talks

Saturday 22 February, 11am-12pm

This month’s Hendrix Talk will look at the different guitars that were close to Jimi’s heart – find out how they sounded and what was unique about them.

Handel’s 335th Birthday

Saturday 22 February, 11am-5pm

In celebration of Handel’s birthday there will be live Baroque music performances in Handel’s Music Room throughout the day from a variety of soloists and ensembles playing a selection of Handel’s greatest pieces.

In the Air

Tuesday 25 February, 6.30-7.30pm

A selection of catchy popular songs that would have echoed round the pubs of London during Handel’s time in the capital.

Highlights include the rarely heard oratorio The Triumph of Time and Truth, the popular ‘come and sing’ event and the international Handel Singing Competition. Other events include grand opera, intimate chamber recitals, guided walks and insight talks.
