Yes, unbelievably it’s March and we’re already halfway through our first events season. Check out the highlights for the next few weeks below.

A Royal Engagement

Thursday 9 March, 6.30pm.

There are only a handful of tickets left for this recital featuring Handel House Talent artist Catriona McDermid, so be quick if you’re interested in hearing Rameau, Vivaldi and Telemann for the Bassoon.

Boneyards & Bluestockings

Thursday 23 March, 6.30pm

This concert is dedicated to the 18th century Bluestockings Society. Led by Elizabeth Montagu, they were a small group of intellectual women whose work led to far greater acceptance of women as the intellectual equal of men, and furthered the cause of female education.
They had great taste in music as well it seems.

Petros Singers: Belshazzar by GF Handel
Saturday 25 March, 7.30pm – St James’s Piccadilly, W1J 9LL

Handel’s resplendent and dramatic oratorio focuses on the desperate struggle for military and religious supremacy in the Persian Gulf, a story as relevant today as it was 2,500 years ago. Robert Murray Belshazzar (tenor) and Emma Kirkby Nitocris (soprano) are joined by David Allsopp Daniel (counter-tenor), James Hall Cyrus (counter-tenor) and Giles Underwood Gobryas (bass). The chorus parts will be sung by Petros Singers and the concert will be accompanied by full orchestra.
