Our event for Museums at Night 2018 will see the house filled with musical performances celebrating the music of Handel & Hendrix as well as the coming of Spring. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to visit the houses after hours.

Directed by Handel

Saturday 19 May, 2-3.30pm

Olwen Foulkes discusses the inspiration and research behind her debut recording Directed by Handel. The programme includes Handel’s stunning recorder sonata in F major, as well as pieces by Castrucci, Corelli, and Sammartini.

A Forgotten Master

Thursday 24 May, 1-2pm

A wonderful opportunity to hear Handel’s music at one of our lunchtime concerts.

Handel House Talent Flautist Rosie Bowker will be accompanied by harpsichord and cello.

The Buxtesuitors

Tuesday 29 May, 6.30-7.30pm

A concert with a wonderful historical theme. Chamber music by German Baroque organist Buxtehude and his daughter’s would-be suitors, including Handel.

London History Day

Thursday 31 May, 11am-6pm

Part of Historic England’s annual celebration of the capital’s extraordinary history and heritage. We will have live Baroque music throughout the day in Handel’s Music Room from some very special guests.

Thursday 17 May, Handel House Talent, 7.30pm, St.George’s, Hanover Square

The London Handel Festival organises a series of concerts for its Friends in Handel’s own parish church, but you do not need to be a member to attend. The next concert is on 17 May and will showcase young musicians from this year’s Handel House Talent scheme in a programme of Handel, Balicourt and Geminiani.
