November highlights

Amazingly all our concerts this month have already sold out!
However, there’s still the chance to help us celebrate Jimi’s birthday and don’t forget about our end-of-year Christmas concert in just over a month.

Guided Tours

Every Friday, 2pm & 3.30pm

We’ve added another weekly guided tour so that we now have two running every Friday afternoon. The 2pm tour is focused on Handel and the 3.30pm tour on Hendrix.

Battle of the Guitarists

Saturday 24 November, 11am-5pm

Just a few days shy of what would have been Hendrix’s 76th birthday, we’re opening up the doors of Jimi’s former home for a special day dedicated to his riffs, jams, and solos.

Christmas Showcase

Tuesday 18 December, 7-8.30pm

Celebrate the Christmas season with our annual end-of-year concert. Baroque music and carols in the very church where Handel himself worshipped.

From our Friends:

Celebrating Handel

Celebrating Handel
Friday 23 November, British Library

A concert celebrating the recent acquisition of the autograph manuscript of Handel’s vocal trio Se tu non lasci amore. Hear a short talk about Handel’s Italian period and the newly acquired manuscript, followed by a concert given by the ensemble Sounds Baroque under the direction of Julian Perkins. The music will include a performance of Se tu non lasci amore, placing it in the context of music by other contemporary composers. http://bit.ly/2qapm1y

Baroque at the Edge – The no-rules early music festival
LSO St Luke’s, 4-6 January 2019

Baroque at the Edge is Britain’s most eclectic Baroque music festival, in which adventurous musicians from backgrounds ranging from classical to world, jazz and folk are invited to take the music of the Baroque and see where it leads them. 2019 brings Ceruleo performing Clare Norburn’s innovative concert-drama exploring Purcell’s last hours Burying the Dead, and English folk music with a Baroque twist from fiddler John Dipper and guitarist Dave Malkin. Expect the unexpected!
