A concert celebrating the recent acquisition of the autograph manuscript of Handel’s vocal trio Se tu non lasci amore. Hear a short talk about Handel’s Italian period and the newly acquired manuscript, followed by a concert given by the ensemble Sounds Baroque under the direction of Julian Perkins. Baroque at the Edge – The no-rules early music festival

Baroque at the Edge is Britain’s most eclectic Baroque music festival, in which adventurous musicians from backgrounds ranging from classical to world, jazz and folk are invited to take the music of the Baroque and see where it leads them. 2019 brings Ceruleo performing Clare Norburn’s innovative concert-drama exploring Purcell’s last hours Burying the Dead, and English folk music with a Baroque twist from fiddler John Dipper and guitarist Dave Malkin. Expect the unexpected!
London Handel Festival – details announced for 2019
Booking is now open for events in the Festival Prelude, leading up to the main London Handel Festival in 2019. Highlights include the Christmas performance of Messiah – so popular that this year there are two dates, a showcase concert of finalists from this year’s Handel Singing Competition with Laurence Cummings, and a special “Handel at Cannons” concert at St.Lawrence, Little Stanmore.
