Applications for the branding task

I am in preparation mode today with a number of key meetings pending. Tomorrow I am meeting with the Heritage Lottery Fund to update them on progress. As our key funder it is important that we keep them up to speed. I also have a meeting with the exhibition designers at which I hope we will take some decisions about copy length and deadlines. I also hope we can catch up on our shopping list progress. The architects will be presenting to the board of trustees and particularly focussing on the new learning studio we will be building as part of the project so it is important that goes well and then we are interviewing companies to work on branding the Hendrix part of our story. All in all there is a lot to read, review and write.

However I did have time to giggle at myself yesterday when I found myself being offered a gin and tonic – very specifically a Hendrick’s gin and tonic. I rarely go anywhere where you are offered a particular type of gin and unfortunately I am unlikely to be invited back again as instead of simply answering the question I was unable to stop myself giving an extensive lecture on my current favourite topic complete with the fact that Hendrix generally preferred Mateus Rose, Holsten Pils beer or tea with two sugars. Apologies to the gathered company just give me a glass of wine next time.
