Post 43: It’s a Hendrix world
The weekend didn’t go by without a little Hendrix action in my Sunday paper. He was mentioned both in an editorial piece about the passing of Bobby Womack and an article about the studios where momentous music was recorded. Links to both articles here.

I also enjoyed listening to a very jolly programme from 2004 about Fender guitars – with some Hendrix highlights and some great contributions from Hendrix aficionados.

Some wonderful American supporters very kindly gave me a sheet of US stamps featuring Hendrix. Individually noteworthy but presented in a sheet of 16 stamps that looks like a 12 inch single, really lovely. Imagine my delight to discover that my Uncle has also sent me a similar sheet of stamps. I am guessing they don’t show up on envelopes in the post very often!
