Post 61: A moment of reflection
44 years ago today Jimi Hendrix died. At the moment a day doesn’t go by when I don’t think about him, his life and his music but particularly on this Thursday morning I took a moment to listen to Burning of the Midnight Lamp, not only my current favourite Hendrix track but also, I think, appropriate for today.

If I don’t meet you no more in this world then I’ll meet you in the next one and don’t be late, don’t be late…
“The story of this life is but hello and goodbye – till we meet again’…….I love burning of the Midnight Lamp too. Did you know, that the ethereal vocals were provided by a group of Black women – one of whom was Cissy Houston, Whitney Houstons mother?
By the way, try listening to ‘Stars that Play with Laughing Sams Dice’ now that track is a real trip. Really nice to meet with you and the other fans yesterday, keep up the good work x
Thank you so much for your contributions and the further information. It was an inspirational session. More anon. Sarah
