It Was 50 Years Ago Today: Hendrix Guided Tours

Take a guided tour of Jimi Hendrix’s home, exactly 50 years ago since the legendary guitarist died tragically young at the age of 27.
Description
This Friday, 18th September marks exactly 50 years to the day since Jimi Hendrix died tragically young at the age of 27.
We thought it best to commemorate the occasion by celebrating his life and music with a series of intimate guided tours of the London flat he once called home.
Starting on the hour, every hour from 11am-5pm members of our expert staff team will lead small groups through the door at 23 Brook Street and up the original staircase – which is usually closed the public – that Hendrix himself would have gone up on many occasions between 1968-69.
These tours will be a chance to share stories about Jimi’s influence and listen to some of his music in the rooms where the musician himself wrote songs, practised and listened to his record collection.
The tour will last around 45 minutes and groups will be less than 5. The ticket price also includes a choice of either our Hendrix autobiography, Hendrix at Home: a Bluesman in Mayfair, or a poster of Jimi inside his flat in Mayfair in 1969.
