Description

Baroque ensemble Madera present a programme of pieces where some of the tunes might seem familiar. Under the pressure from 18th century court or church employment composers often begged, borrowed or stole parts of existing compositions to create new ones.

Madera are David Beaney (Baroque flute and recorders), Claire Williams (harpsichord) and Lesley Holliday (Baroque flute).
