Enlightened Music Lessons

Tabea Debus (recorder)
Description
Musical tuition was fundamental to the upbringing of the Hanoverian royal children. Tabea Debus (recorder) explores how the art of music-making was driven by works specifically composed for teaching, including Handel’s recorder sonatas for the lessons of Princess Anne (daughter of Caroline of Ansbach), Telemann’s Der Getrure Music-Meister, and Bach’s French Suites.
