Every guitar player has to start somewhere. Jimi Hendrix himself used to air guitar with a broom before he convinced his Dad to buy him his first real one.

Starting in 2020, our resident guitar teacher Nigel Jones is holding a series of Guitar Workshops for absolute beginners. Students need to bring a guitar to practice on, but that’s it!

“This workshop is for people who have only recently picked up a guitar for the first time, or know very little. I’d like to get the spark of inspiration to come from Jimi Hendrix’s home at Brook Street for some brand new guitar players.

We’ll start with the most basic things and take you from never holding a guitar to playing some chords and melody. After the sessions you’ll be playing a full song and be on the right path for getting the most out of a guitar!” Nigel
