You Say You Want A Revolution?

Victoria Broackes, Curator at the V&A
Description
You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966-70 will be the V&A’s major exhibition for autumn-winter 2016-17. Co-curator Victoria Broackes will discuss how the exhibition explores the significance and
impact of the late 1960s through the era-defining music, performances, fashion, film, design and political activism.
Jimi Hendrix was integral to this era and as such many Hendrix items will be on display in the exhibition, including clothing, jewellery, and the guitar he played at Monterey, and his music will feature in the exhibition’s soundtrack. A talk about this exciting exhibition and seminal moment in history is a fitting addition to our 50th anniversary celebrations of Hendrix’s arrival in London.
