Description

On the 17th April, Gwen Martin (soprano) will perform in Handel’s former Music Room, where the composer practised daily with fellow musicians, over 200 years ago.

Gwen will trace Giulio Caccini’s development of dramatic recitative and his influence on the composers who followed him. Come and enjoy an evening filled with hauntingly beautiful Italian Renaissance music.
