This year, we are delighted to present a lecture by Helen Coffey that will explore musical patronage at the Hanover court during and after George I’s departure for Britain. It will consider the musical life of the court under his grandson Frederick Louis and the performance of Handel’s music there years after he himself had left Hanover for London.
