Handel's Salon with Jochewed Schwarz
Handel’s Salon brings music back into the rooms where Handel once lived, worked and entertained. Inspired by the concerts, gatherings and creative exchanges that filled his home, this series celebrates his music, his house and his enduring legacy.
Music for the Heart
Celebrated international harpsichordist, Jochewed Schwarz, presents a programme of music by Handel and Scarlatti that was widely admired across Europe in the 18th century and continues to inspire and engage audiences today, pulling on the heart strings of everyone who hears it.
Jochewed Schwarz performs on historical keyboards, as a soloist and in chamber settings, with a particular focus on repertoire from the seventeenth to the early nineteenth centuries. Her work centres on the sound, character and expressive language of these instruments, especially in intimate settings. Her recordings, including music by Bach and his sons, Couperin and Telemann, among others, reflect her ongoing engagement with historical repertoire today.
