An Evening with Rachel Podger and the Royal Academy of Music
Rachel Podger and historical performance students from the Royal Academy of Music perform a delightful programme of instrumental music and arias by Handel and his contemporaries in the spectacular setting of St George’s Church, Handel’s own place of worship.
Rachel Podger, “the unsurpassed British glory of the baroque violin” (The Times), has established herself as a leading interpreter of the Baroque and Classical music periods. In this concert, Rachel will be joined by outstanding young musicians from the Royal Academy of Music, reflecting her passionate belief in passing on her knowledge of the next generation of violinists and period performers.
