Christmas at Brook street
From Thursday 27 November 2025 through to Sunday 4 January 2026, the museum will come alive with timeless Christmas decorations and musical cheer. For the first time, the House will also open between Christmas and New Year on
Monday 29, Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 December (last entry 3pm on 31 December).
Georgian cooking weekend
Join us on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th December for a celebration of 18th-century food and festive traditions. Throughout both days, enjoy live Georgian cooking demonstrations as part of your general admission - perfect for all ages and included in your ticket.
Saturday Evening Special: A Georgian Punch
Join us for a special evening session on Saturday 13th December, where food historians Marc Meltonville and Robert Hoare will delve into the rich history of Georgian punch — a popular party drink of the time. You’ll see how it was made, learn about the ingredients, and uncover the social customs that surrounded this iconic festive beverage.
The evening will finish with the chance to sample a traditional Georgian punch, specially prepared for the occasion.
Christmas Lates
Experience the House after dark during our special Christmas Late openings, with entry available until 7 pm on Thursdays, 11th and 18th December.
Wander through beautifully decorated rooms, enjoy the twinkling lights, and soak up the magical evening atmosphere. It's the perfect opportunity to explore the House at your own pace and see it in a whole new light.
Get creative with a range of hands-on Christmas activities suitable for all ages - it’s a wonderful way to slow down, have fun, and embrace the festive spirit.
Carolling weekend
Join us on 20th & 21th December for a joyful weekend of carolling. Musicians will fill the house with warmth and festive cheer as they perform much-loved Christmas songs and carols.
